It includes the following five stages: • Initiating – assessing and defining the scope and goals of the project. • Planning – developing a workflow, establishing a more detailed scope, allocating resources and building timetables. Executing – managing teams, monitoring timelines and resources, balancing stakeholder involvement • Controlling – tracking, reviewing and regulating the progress. • Closing – assessing project results, key strengths and weaknesses.

Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) is selling a special plate numbers, called UUM Exclusive Plate Numbers (UEPN). This special plate numbers actually approved by Road Transport Department of Malaysia (RTD) to all public universities as a medium of generating extra income to the universities. Universities are given full authority to sell the plate numbers to alumnis, staff and publics, but subject to very strict procedures. The plate numbers can be registered to any motor vehicles, similar to state RTD’s plate numbers, for example K for Kedah, and J for Johor. However, all universities’ plate numbers only can be registered manually at the RTD Wangsamaju counter and state RTD counter, as opposed to RTD’S numbers that can be registered online. For UEPN, it can be registered manually at the counter of RTD Wangsa Maju and Alor Setar. The main attraction of UEPN is because it is limited for 9,999 numbers only, and with the alphabet given is ‘UUM’ie: UUM1 to UUM9999. In addition to that, the double U for UUM is also being a pulling factor for marketing. UEPN can be purchased through online bidding system called “UUMPlate”.
