Managerial decisions are seldom made in a vacuum. Managers rely on input from others in the organization, an analysis of the situation, consultations with other managers, a review of the internal and external environment, and a recognition of the impact decisions have on the business. Keep in mind that a seemingly small, insignificant decision made in haste today can produce a contagion of issues and problems in the future.

Take a look back in history and examine the catastrophic sinking of the RMS Titanic in 1912.
