solution

If you are doing a team project as part of your class or for a project at work, use AtTask to create a detailed file describing the work you plan to do for the project.

a. Create a detailed WBS, add several milestones, estimate task durations, link tasks, enter resources and costs, assign resources, and so on. You can create all of the information in AtTask or import it from Project 2010. Save your file as a baseline and print it out send it to your instructor, as desired.

b. Track your progress on your team project by entering actual information. Create a new baseline file if there have been a lot of changes. View earned value information when you are halfway through the project or course. Continue tracking your progress until the project or course is finished. Print or send your Gantt chart, earned value data, and relevant information to your instructor.

c. Write a two-to three-page report describing your experience. What did you learn about AtTask from this exercise? How do you think AtTask helps in managing a project? You may also want to interview people who use AtTask for their experiences and suggestions.
