Assessment 1- Written report

Submission details

The Assessment Task is due on the date specified by your trainer. Any variations to this

arrangement must be approved in writing by your trainer.

You must submit both printed copy and soft copy of your answers.

Submit the printed copy of required evidences (your answers) to your Trainer with the

“Assessment Cover Sheet” (Filled out and signed appropriately) attached on top of your

documents.

The Trainer/Assessor may further prompt and question in order to receive answers of

appropriate quality or if further clarification required and to validate authenticity of your

submitted work.

 

Assessment Description:

 

Based on your workplace or an organisation of your choice

Students are required to complete 9 tasks in this assessment. This assessment need to be submitted in a report format and in order to be satisfactory in the assessment students are required to complete all tasks. Students can choose the organisation they work at or any other organisation (see the criteria below).

Instruction:

You are required to produce a research and analysis report on the

planning and implementation of financial management approaches,

monitoring/controlling finances and reviewing/evaluating financial

management processes in your organisation or any other organisation

(approved by the trainer). You need to provide details of the organisation

in task 1.

 

This organisation can’t be a very small size organisation with less than 20

staff members and annual revenue has to be more than a million. The

organisation also needs to be operated in Australia and organisation must

have a website for referencing and need to be referred by students.

 

You must provide references and website details of the chosen

organisation.

 

This will include the following:

1. Provide an overview of the organisation and your business unit

2. Identify the internal strategic goals for this organisation and the

external stakeholders, and discuss their influence on the financial

decisions in to your organisation

3. Discuss the different types of budgets your organisation is required to

prepare and provide an explanation on how each budget is developed

4. List the people, their roles and responsibilities in the organisation

who are involved in the budget process (from planning to

implementation). List the specific budget they are interested in.

5. Discuss the process of negotiating budget funding after they have

been allocated? How would you relate budget changes to your

strategic and business goals

6. Develop a contingency plan to cover changed circumstances and

variations to budgets/financial plans

7. Discuss reports which are required to show an analysis of actual versus budgeted outcomes (variances). How do these reports assist with improving variances and achieving financial objectives?

8. What documentation do you need to manage the expenses and costs in

your organisation? How do you use this to calculate estimates and

Pathophysiology Project

Pathophysiology is the study of how a disease progresses in the body. As you can imagine, there are many disorders and diseases that can occur. The purpose of this individual project is to be introduced to these many different diseases or disorders via research. In this project, you will research and report on a specific disease or disorder. The project will span the entire duration of the course and have deliverables due in many modules, with the complete project–a 4- to 5-minute presentation with a written component–due in Module 7. Over the last few modules, you have progressed through the research of your disease. It is now time to put your work into a viewable presentation. In this module, you will turn in a rough draft of your presentation. In the next module, you will create a video of your presentation.

The disorder I have selected is Marfan Syndrome.

Marfan syndrome is an inherited disorder that affects connective tissue — the fibers that support and anchor your organs and other structures in your body. Marfan syndrome most commonly affects the heart, eyes, blood vessels, and skeleton. People with Marfan syndrome are usually tall and thin with unusually long arms, legs, fingers, and toes. The damage caused by Marfan syndrome can be mild or severe. If your aorta is affected, the condition can become life-threatening. Treatment usually includes medications to keep your blood pressure low to reduce the strain on your aorta. Regular monitoring to check for damage progression is vital. Many people with Marfan syndrome eventually require preventive surgery to repair the aorta.

Part 1:

  1. Find three additional citations that could be used for your presentation topic. Include the citations in full APA 7th edition format in the same Microsoft Word document you used in Module 2.
  2. Annotate each of these citations with a separate 5-sentence paragraph, including the following information:
  • Description of the source and author: Are they reliable and valid? [1 sentence]
  • Description of findings that may be important to your project. [2–3 sentences]
  • Include the reason why you chose the source. How will it support your project? [1 sentence]
  • In one short paragraph, discuss the formatting for the project and reasons for this format. This will be your project format proposal. Last week you were introduced to nutrition and the components of a healthy diet. This week you are learning about digestion and carbohydrates. Digestion is the process by which our body breaks down the foods we eat to provide obtain its energy, essential nutrients and other chemicals that are critical for life. Understanding the digestive process will help you evaluate the myriad of nutrition claims we are confronted with every day.

Our body makes energy from the carbohydrate we eat and drink.  Glucose is our body’s preferred energy source, but fatty acids provide an alternative energy source when needed.  This forum will explore deeper several topics related to digestion and carbohydrate.

Your initial forum must be at least 250 words, posted by Tuesday11:55 pm EST, and contain at least one outside, reputable reference. You need to state your thesis and support it with at least one outside, reputable reference. Your textbook is not an outside reference. Remember, there is no right or wrong. Before you post your initial forum discussion, submit it in the assignment area so its originality will be checked by turnitin.com. I will take points off if you do not do this. Before you post your discussion, make sure your originality index (%) is less than 15. Topic 1:  Should a product be labeled as Genetically Modified (GM) if it contains an ingredient that has been genetically modified? Currently, the FDA requires a GM food to be labeled as such only if there is a substantial difference in nutrient content, the food contains an allergen that would not normally be present, or the food contains a toxicant beyond a certain limit.
