Are there any major service industry companies that offer their employees educational activities (e.g. Amazon), and, are they successful in encouraging greater productivity from their employees?
I wonder if location has anything to do with productivity in the service industry. Can you find any research that offers a difference for those employed in the service industry and live in expensive cities, like Vancouver or Toronto vs. inexpensive cities? Is there any research that ties city and productivity together? What do you think?
How has technology (and social tech, in particular) aided in the productivity of some major businesses? How has it hindered productivity?
