For this discussion board, please reflect on the three skills among the levels of management in a hair salon. You do not need to be one of those examples. You will include yourself in the third item of the post.

Please refer to the skill by its name from the text so you can demonstrate you understand them in your application/example.

I am looking for three items in your post of 150 – 250 words total. Then reply to TWO other students with 75 -100 words each.

#1 Create an initial post providing brief examples of each of the three skills: conceptual, human, and technical in your organization. You can provide some organizational context if it helps to support your example.

#2 Then, reflect if you believe the skills are aligned to the level of management. For example. do you have upper level managers staying in the weeds by getting too involved in the daily operations when they should be making forecasts or creating strategy? Do you see evidence of human skills in all level of management (give examples).

#3 Finally, reflect on your own managerial development and let us know what your comfort zone is within these skills. Do you see the big picture easily, if so, why? Do you most enjoy the nitty gritty stuff more that the conceptual? How would you develop the other skills if you need to?
