Target is a general merchandise retailer that has stores all over the United States additional to the District of Columbia. They’re one of the largest retail stores in America next to Wal-Mart. Target is where millions of consumers can shop and get the latest trend and save money. With the pandemic reaching across the world the last year, target has developed an even stronger workflow regarding ordering online and driving up and or picking up.

2. Operations and Supply Chain Management

• A – Describe the operations and supply process (planning, sourcing, making, delivering, and returning).
• B – Describe any current issues (coordinating relationships, optimization, customer touch points, and senior management awareness).

3. Strategy and Sustainability

• A – Using some (not all) competitive dimensions, detail the link to the supply chain.
• B – What are some trade-off considerations, and how do these trade-offs link to supply risk?

4. Forecasting

• A – What type of forecasting models would be the most appropriate and why?
• B -How would the forecasting models selected be validated and kept current?

There are many things that Target is great at, but what I have noticed is when items or products are running low, they’re restocking shelves. Target does not wait to restock shelves; it’s based off of what items are being sold the quickest.
