WaterDot Zambia is a Non profitable organization which operates in Africa with funding from the UK Government which promotes sanitation programs. The organization is implementing a rural water project in Kazuni area of Kabwe District. The project will involve putting up household’s taps and Kiosks with an irrigation scheme to promote agricultural activities. The sources of water for this community currently is Mugocho River which is about 25 km. The cost of the project is 2 million USD. As a program manager for the Zambian office, you have been asked to justify the cost of the project to the UK office in relation to the benefits before the disbursement of funds.

a. Discuss how you will convince the panel.
b. If the water project will be implemented, the Government of the Republic of Zambia has committed
itself in constructing the access road to Kazuni area. The access road will be constructed to bituminous standards in order to boost the agriculture activities in Kazuni area. Discuss how you can evaluate the viability of this road project.
