Emerging Technology
Each student will prepare a term paper on assessment of a specific emerging technology. An emerging technology is one that is proven, but is not yet widely used. The paper should describe the technology, its business uses, and your analysis of its potential to emerge. Develop a business case in the form of a report detailing your analysis.
A list of topics used in the past appears below (note – you are not limited to this list and some of the technologies listed are no longer appropriate). Write a short summary of 1-2 short paragraphs describing your choice).
Possible topics include (note – some of these may no longer be appropriate):
- Hadoop or other tools supporting business analytics
- Google glasses
- Cloud
- Self Driving Cars
- Computer Brain Interface
- Internet of Things (IoT)
